Leadership Forum: Developing 21st Century Leaders

Background:

Executive Coaching is one of the best ways to develop leaders; however, in today’s fast-paced and budget conscious environment providing an intensive one-on-one leadership development experience for each current and future leader may not be possible. EDA’s Leadership Forum workshop is designed to provide the type of coaching that individuals usually receive in an executive coaching engagement, but in a group setting.  The collective learning environment enhances the learning experience and allows for up to 25 participants to complete the program at once.  EDA uses innovative methodology to ensure the participants accept the responsibility of learning both personal and professional leadership skills.  The learning is reinforced with an optional one-on-one coaching session as well as peer coaching and individual leadership roadmaps.

Who Should Attend:

  • Vice Presidents
  • Directors & Managers
  • High Potentials
  • High-level Individual Contributors who must practice influential leadership

Program Objectives:

This highly engaging and interactive forum will provide the foundation to advance the leadership skills of each participant as he or she gains in-depth understanding of strengths and weaknesses, learns new skills and creates an action plan to carry the new learnings in their day-to-day work environment.

The overall objective of this program is to reinforce the initiatives considered most critical to the organizational business success by building the individual capabilities of your organization’s current and future leaders.   The first day the program focuses on Leading Self via the individual and their preferences and how these preferences effect the participant in the workplace.  The second day sessions focus on Leading Others and will relate these preferences toward specific leadership efforts such as leading change or influential leadership.

Program Format:

The EDA Leadership Forum is an interactive, 2-day experience that is facilitated by an experienced facilitator. Each concept is introduced via video and/or group discussion and then quickly incorporates exercises.  Where appropriate, exercises involve participants’ using their own work situations to apply the concept.

Our philosophy is that the most effective courses are those where the participants are actively engaged through expert facilitation by the consultant, activities, assessments, personal insight, and group interaction. Use of this strategy requires collaborative pre-planning between your organization and EDA to create an appropriate strategy for matching delivery method to employee groups throughout the organization or business unit.
