Tae Moon Kouzes

Tae Moon Kouzes is a highly experienced and sought-after executive coach with a track record of results in advising and counseling demanding C-suite officers and their teams, high-potential women and minority executives, and managers in transition. She has had a career-long focus on executive assessment and coaching and related organizational development work. She brings to her role twenty-five years of experience both internal to large companies and external to a wide variety of organizations across many industries.

Tae’s approach to coaching is strategic, systemic, data-driven and competency-based, with an intense emphasis on follow-up to support and sustain behavior changes. Her extensive knowledge of 360° assessment tools and methodology, coupled with her analytical skills, has proven invaluable to her clients in accurately targeting areas for development. Her holistic view of coaching is a strength that serves her clients well, both in their personal and professional lives.

Tae previously worked for U.S. Leasing, a subsidiary of the Ford Motor Company in their Financial Services Sector where she was the head of Organization and Executive Development and a member of the CEO’€™s Leadership Team. Talent management became a key business imperative under her guidance and counsel.

Tae’€™s most extensive internal coaching and leadership development experience was with Pacific Gas & Electric Company as the Director of Executive Leadership. She developed and validated competency models, designed and operated an assessment center and coached incumbent officers. She was one of the first practitioners in the then emerging field of competency-based training and development.

As a trusted advisor in private practice for the last 15 years, Tae has worked across a wide spectrum of companies, from Fortune 500 to startups. She has served a broad range of clients including Honeywell, Apple Computer, Westfield Group, Toyota Motor Sales, DaVita, The Gap, General Motors, Clorox, DFS, Fireman€™s Fund, Girl Scouts of the San Francisco Bay Area, Global English, Macworld Communications, MagneTek, Mervyn€™’s, Nationwide Insurance, Ore-Ida Foods, Siemens Transportation Systems, Sun Microsystems, Levi Strauss and Arvesta.

Tae completed her graduate studies at The Ohio State University, with degrees in Industrial Organizational Psychology (MA, ABD) and MBA (emphasis on Human Resources & Organization Behavior). Her undergraduate degree is from the University of Delaware, in Psychology with minors in Biology and Chemistry. Tae is certified and experienced in using many assessment tools, including Kouzes and Posner’s Leadership Practices Inventory; CCL’€™s Benchmark; Lominger’€™s suite of leadership & organizational assessment tools; PDI’€™s Profilor and Executive Profilor; and Baron EQ-360.
