Maria Ehlis

Chief of Staff

Maria Ehlis serves as EDA’s Chief of Staff. Maria received her B.A. in Communication Studies, B.A. in Health and Sports Studies, Leadership Certificate, and her MBA from The University of Iowa. Maria really enjoys working with clients making sure all of their needs are met. Her areas of expertise include account management, project management, and customer service.

Prior to joining the company, Maria spent a significant portion of her career with Principal Financial Group having worked both in the wellness department and the financial services division of the company. There she gained experience in the different roles she held, which allowed her to work with a diverse group of clients as well as working with different internal departments.  She also assisted with marketing and with recruitment. All of this experience has provided Maria with well-rounded knowledge she can apply while working with clients.

Maria and her husband are both Iowa natives and reside in Davenport, Iowa. They share their house with their two rescue dogs and three rescue cats. Maria spends her free time volunteering for animal rescue organizations, saving any and all animals she can. Her other passions include health and fitness, reading books and blogs about old homes, historical preservation, history, and of course, traveling.
