Major General Robert F. Dees

Major General (Retired) Robert F. “Bob” Dees is a Leadership Speaker and C-Suite Coach with Executive Development Associates. Bob is a proven executive leader with exceptional analytical, organizational, communication, and teambuilding skills. His areas of expertise include senior leadership, business development, non-profit leadership, strategic planning, media relations, resilience training, counter-terrorism training, international relations, and academic leadership.

Bob served for 31 years in the U.S. Army in a wide variety of command and staff positions, culminating in his last three assignments as Assistant Division Commander for Operations, 101st Airborne Division (Air Assault); Commander, Second Infantry Division, United States Forces Korea; and as Deputy Commanding General, V (US/GE) Corps in Europe, concurrently serving as Commander, US-Israeli Combined Task Force for Missile Defense.  Commissioned a second lieutenant after graduating from West Point in 1972, he is also a graduate of the Naval Postgraduate School, the U.S. Army Command and General Staff College, the Industrial College of the Armed Forces, and Royal College of Defense Studies in London, England.

Following military retirement in January 2003, Bob served as Executive Director, Defense Strategies for Microsoft Corporation, followed by leadership of a nonprofit organization that’s mission was to provide outreach to the military. While writing The Resilience Trilogy (Resilient Warriors, Resilient Leaders, and Resilient Nations), he pioneered resilience programs for the military and beyond as Associate Vice President for Military Outreach, Adjunct Professor, and Director of the nation’s first Institute for Military Resilience at Liberty University. Most recently Bob served as National Security Advisor and Campaign Chairman for Carson for President in 2016.  His primary endeavor now is pioneering a national “Resilience God Style” campaign to restore faith-based resilience at individual, leader, and national levels.

Bob speaks at numerous seminars and conferences, as well as provides commentary on national security and resilience for media outlets such as FOX Huckabee, FOX Business, Focus on the Family, Christian Broadcasting Network, American Family Radio, Wildfire Men’s Conferences, New Canaan Society, Pinnacle Forum, Wallbuilders Live, My Family Talk, Samaritans Purse, Family Research Council, Newsmax TV, and numerous churches, military bases, and business organizations across America. He was featured as one of 30 “Master Leaders” in America by noted author George Barna.

Bob is married to the former Kathleen Robinson of Houston, Texas. They have two children and seven grandchildren, and currently reside in Round Rock, Texas.  General and Mrs. Dees are grateful for the privilege of serving God, Nation, and others during these critical times.
