Audie Dunham

Audie Dunham works with EDA as an executive coach and executive development consultant.

Audie has extensive experience serving CEOs, division heads, business leaders and owners and their teams, as an executive coach and talent development consultant. He has been a senior operating executive, a human resources executive, and a leadership development executive in both midsize and Fortune 500 companies. Audie has been directly involved in managing mergers & acquisitions, startups/divestitures & turnarounds, as well as corporate restructurings to bring about transformational organization change. He brings to his clients a rare blending of business insight and deep knowledge of people and leadership effectiveness. His industry experience includes financial, services, retail, healthcare, clean manufacturing, hi-tech, marketing, services, and management consulting.

Recent coaching engagements include:

  • One-year assignment coaching International Sector executive of a Fortune 500 company. Shifted behavior from withholding and competing with peers to being a strong contributor and team player worthy of further leadership advancement considerations.
  • Six-month assignment coaching young entrepreneur/CEO. Able to help improve his face-to-face communication with others over performance expectations, eliminating the need for this executive to “always be right” and have “all the answer.”
  • Six-month assignment coaching Board Chairman who returned from retirement to oversee the installation of a formal succession management and workforce planning program for ensuring the long-term viability of the company. Issues involved collaborating and working in tandem with current CEO and senior management team.
  • One-year assignment coaching Senior VP, Talent Management in a Fortune 100 healthcare company. Able to significantly improve this individual’s strategic thinking and formal presentation skills, and get him to operate with stronger, more authentic executive presence, thereby gaining the respect and support of other executive team members.
  • Six-month assignment coaching Director of Strategic Sourcing for a multi-billion dollar food manufacturer and distributor. Issues involved confidence and ability to manage up (with superior and other senior management team members). Able to get help improve his strategic presentation skills and his openness with senior executives. Currently in line for assuming additional responsibilities.

Business/Organizational Leadership Experience

Audie’s past experience includes Executive Vice President, Consulting for RSM McGladrey on a national scale; CEO of both Wilson Learning Corporation and GrowthWorks, Inc.; as well as, various senior leadership roles at Xerox and Federated Department Stores. Audie helped Xerox build an international reputation in the training & development field. With Federated, he installed the company’s first management succession system, implemented a formal Executive Leadership University for the top 200 executives, directed their NYC national recruiting office. He produced 15 million in annual savings by cutting executive turnover more than fifteen percent and was selected as the “top HR executive” across 19 Federated Divisions. Audie also ran Filene’s Basement’s $250 million store operations prior to accepting the CEO position at Wilson Learning.

Education and Training

Audie has a BS in Business & Psychology from Rollins College, has completed postgraduate work on his MBA at Florida Institute of Technology, and is a Human Capital Master Strategist.

Audie is the author of PLANET CHANGE: Bold New Approaches to Living in a Dramatically Altered World (1996). He’s also written on leadership, culture, and the critical role of talent management in business success.
