Biography:
Sherry Dale serves Executive Development Associates as the Chief Financial Officer. As a certified public accountant and former president of Strategix Consulting Group, Dale has helped businesses develop growth strategies and strategic plans, and with leadership training, cash flow management, organizational development, executive coaching, developing systems and processes, exit strategies and understanding financial information.
Prior to her involvement with Strategix, Dale co-founded a meat and frozen food distributorship (Express Meat Company, Inc.) as a home-based business in 1991. Through skilled leadership and passionate risk taking, she grew the business to be the largest independent distributor in the region with 50 employees, a 60,000 square foot distribution facility, a fleet of 25 trucks and sales in excess of $72 million. Express Meat was acquired by Cargill Food Distribution in September, 2004.
In addition to Express Meat Company, Dale has started several other businesses. In 1987, she co-founded Jones & Dale, CPA’s and grew this firm to be one of the largest in Oklahoma City. During this time, Dale discovered her passion in helping other business owners succeed. She sold her partnership interest in 1999. Dale has a real estate development company and previously has owned two meat processing plants and a restaurant.
Dale received her Bachelor of Arts in Accounting and Economics from Hendrix College in Conway, Arkansas. She is a certified public accountant in Oklahoma and Arkansas.
Dale believes in giving back to the community and has been active in several organizations. She currently serves on the boards of Sunbeam Family Services; Central Oklahoma Habitat for Humanity, and the Oklahoma City Zoo; and the advisory board of the Sisters of Benedict. Sherry is a graduate of Leadership OKC Class XXV. She has also served on the boards of the Terry Neese Center for Entrepreneurial Excellence; the Edmond Chamber of Commerce; and the Daily Living Centers. She is a National Founding Partner for Women Impacting Public Policy and was recently appointed to the Executive Committee of the Advisory Council. Dale is a member of EWF International and Impact Oklahoma and was recognized as a finalist for the 2001 Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year, 2001 Governor’s Conference for Women finalist, 2000 Journal Record’s Woman of the Year award, 1996 Small Business Administration Women in Business Advocate. She has been an active member and held many leadership positions in the National Association of Women Business Owners since 1987. She has received political appointments to the Oklahoma Small Business Commission, White House Conference on Small Business and the Oklahoma Linked Deposit Review Board. Sherry is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and Oklahoma Society of Certified Public Accountants.
