Richard Zahn

Biography:

Richard L. Zahn brings a wealth of insight and specialized experience and expertise to his clients.

Since 1994, Richard has been a consultant and advisor to numerous companies who have sought his expertise either in growing their businesses or in managing their current growth strategies. For six of those years, he served as part of Inc. Magazine's Growth Strategy Consulting Group. Not only did this relationship enable him to meet and work with a diverse group of companies throughout the United States, it also connected him to individuals and companies possessing resources and expertise which were of added benefit to his clients.

Prior to launching his consulting career, Richard served as president of three different companies, all of which provided him with significant hands-on operational experience in developing, executing and funding plans to grow businesses. This experience included the successful turnaround and expansion of an overnight logistics company, foundation of an integrated services company that was built through acquisition and consolidation of five separate companies, and leading a merger of three laboratory firms into a combined entity that was built and sold to a public company. Richard's early business career included serving as a commercial banker in Chicago and Oklahoma City, as well as working as an investment banker. In addition, he grew up in a large, successful family-owned business and served as a board member until the sale of the company.

As a consultant, Richard has successfully developed a strategic plan and participated in its execution that built a $12 million revenue logistics firm into a $60 million company.  He also developed a process to build a roadmap to accelerate growth of a $40 million revenue manufacturer and remained involved in execution and update of the plan of what is now a $120 million revenue firm.  He also served as the Strategic Adviser for ten years to a specialized marketer during which time it has doubled in size and diversified its product and customer base.

He and his wife, Linda, have three children, two daughters-in-law, a son-in-law and four grandchildren and are active in the lives of their family as well as in their church. Richard and Linda enjoy playing golf together and spending time on the beach.
