Catherine Guelbert
Biography
I am a confident and proactive coach and facilitator with a deep understanding of the major issues facing the NHS today. Bringing 24 years of experience, mostly at a senior level, I am committed to innovation and change by working with and through people to enhance individual and collective performance.
I have a unique combination of experience as an operational manager, and leader of strategic change and development. I have highly developed political skills and extensive experience in tackling complex and sensitive projects.
My executive skill set includes the capability to set direction, hold people to account and inspire organisations. At the same time I work for the effective engagement and development of individuals, teams and stakeholders in managing the fast paced changing environment which is today’s NHS.
I am a qualified executive coach with a diploma from OCR. I specialise in development using action learning and I am currently training as a mediator with the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators.
Executive development and change management
In the last 6 years I have majored in executive development, working with the NHS top team, coaching senior executives and directors and leading and supporting major organisational change and development. I am the architect of the NHS Leadership Qualities framework which is recognised internationally as setting the gold standard for leadership behaviours in the public sector. My recent portfolio includes:
- supporting the Department of Health with the implementation of change in Quality and Standards,
- development of clinical engagement with NPfIT,
- leadership and organisation development of South East London SHA and PCTs
- Preparing the National Patient Safety Agency for the implementation of ‘Safety First’
- Facilitation of key meetings for the Department of Health in preparation for increasing GP numbers in under doctored areas
- Facilitation for Guy’s and St Thomas’ Charity and for health networks and forums in South East London.
